Buy a block for 50 cents, decorate it however you want and it will be used to beautify your team area. The team with the most moolah will decide the charity of their choice. So, the school gets purty and the money goes towards a good cause. Awesome. :)

Mr. Finch, 'Bob Ross' in training

Mr. Finch has channeled the late Bob Ross and is extending the inspiration to his flyer time. Students are painting rocks. Not just slapping paint on an old stone, but painting positive messages of support and motivation. These rocks will be placed in and around Lindbergh buildings as a reminder to think more positively. So, if you between a rock and a hard place, don't despair. Just look to Mr. Finch's flyer time.

Mrs. Moser's Flyer Time Project: Bullying

Mrs. Moser's Flyer Time is investigating bullying. The kids typed out a survey and distributed to each of the flyer times this past Wednesday. It will be interesting to see the results. Here were the questions:

1. Have you ever been bullied?
2. Where does bullying occur the most in this school?
3. On a scale from one to ten, how bad do you think bullying is?
4. Have you ever witnessed bullying?
5. Have you ever told an adult about you or someone else being bullied?
6. Do you think there is a way to stop bullying? IF yes, then how?

Davis' Ninjas captured some thoughts on bullying. See below:

Service Learning at Sperreng

Welcome to The Sperreng Spirit! This blog is dedicated to the spirit of our Sperreng students and their journey building a sense of community with our school, staff, and students. They will be doing this through service learning projects with their Flyer Time families. Every Wednesday at the end of the day, we have Flyer Time. It is a class made up of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and 1-2 teachers. These 'families' are together the entire year and hope to foster a caring and collaborative environment for both students and teachers. Sperreng students are doing amazing things--check in often to see the different projects!

O yea.....this blog is run by Mrs. Davis's Flyer Time Ninjas. They thank you for visiting our blog!
